HOW:

Well, the weather is getting warmer, so food truck season is almost amongst us. This season, I promise to review the abundance of food trucks that has exploded to the scene since I started this blog. It's hard to get into the habit of trying new things when some of the trucks I review here are just too good. And with the similarities of the trucks, it's hard to pick one of the other.

So, as noon passes by this day and I am in the mood for India, I see that Mayur Kabob House is at Franklin square. Now, I've already reviewed a great indian truck and even better kabob truck, so it's kind of hard to venture off to another truck. Luckily, none of the aforementioned trucks were present in Franklin, so I had no excuse NOT to try this truck.

The review

Per my #1 theory (first listed item is the best), I went for the Chicken Kabob Boneless with side of spinach and chickpeas. So, with food trucks, it's kind of tricky since they are up on the truck and you can't really see what they are putting in, so imagine how appalled I was to flip open the lid and find the lack of chicken. I mean look at that, for $10?! I tried to be the bigger man and tried to console myself by remembering quality > quantity. I start with the sides, well cause - I was trying to perserve the chicken. Nothing special, the chickpeas are a far cry from the chickpeas at tasty kabob, and the spinach is also not comparable to the spinach at fojol bros. Nonetheless, I am banking on the wish that the chicken will save this meal from mediocrity. As I bite in the chicken, I am immediately disappointed at the dryness of the chicken and the toughness of the rice. However, for a quick indian fix, this was surprisingly filling.

WHY:

7 wheeler review. While this did fill me up, it definitely wasn't worth the $10 that the other food trucks offer in quantity AND quality. If you are in the mood for Indian and fojol and/or tasty kabob is in the area - this should hold you over.
